Supporting our community and neighbours

We have pledged to support local groups throughout the development and operation of the project. The Wimmera Plains Energy Facility Community Benefit Fund will contribute $54,000 to community groups each year for the life of the project. Funds will support not-for-profit groups including schools, sporting clubs and community organisations.

The fund will commence payments once the project has been approved for construction. BayWa r.e. will update the project website and email all interested groups when the Community Benefit Fund details are finalised.

For those living near the Wimmera Plains Energy Facility, we are committed to managing any inconveniences and contributing to a positive relationship. Proximity-based payments are available to eligible residents living within 3.6km of the nearest turbine.
