The Yatpool sunfarm
The Yatpool solar farm located in Northern Victoria is only 20km away from its sister project the Karadoc solar farm. Once complete, the 106 MW farm will generate enough electricity to power over 100,000 homes.
Due to be operational by the end of 2018, the project has received planning approval and secured the necessary grid contracts. The next stage of the project is for the local team to undertake the site’s design and the procurement for the solar farm’s construction.
Daniel Gäfke, Managing Director of BayWa r.e. Solar Pte Ltd. “Once operational, the solar farm will be one of the world’s largest and showcase Australia as one of the world’s leading generators in renewable energy. Australia is a fantastic resource for renewable energy and we hope to help make it a leading country for solar energy generation.”
