We celebrate an important milestone together with our parent company
Our parent company BayWa AG turned 100 this year. It is a pretty big deal to celebrate such an impressive number, and as part of the BayWa Group, we at BayWa r.e. are proud to pay tribute on this occasion.
Founded in 1923, BayWa AG has developed from a traditional trading company based in agriculture into an internationally active group. Far-reaching change has always moved BayWa throughout its history. It combines tradition and modernity like few other companies of its size. It is at home in the world and at the same time has deep ties to the region.
Today, BayWa AG is a global player with 25,000 employees worldwide. With its business units Energy, Agriculture, and Building Materials, BayWa has been developing leading projects and solutions for fundamental human needs for many years, providing solutions for food, shelter, warmth and mobility. And since all its activities for renewable energy are concentrated within BayWa r.e., we also play an important part in this journey.
Despite all the success that has been achieved, we believe BayWa AG’s and our best days are still ahead. Together, we have continuously innovated, changed, and adapted. Our paths have always been guided by the needs of the many and will continue to do so for the next 100 years.
