The wind farm will have an output of up to 7.4 MW and will connect to the existing 22 kV electricity network via the Nhill substation in Western Victoria. The two Vestas V150 4.0 MW turbines have 125m hub height (tip height 200m) and will produce the equivalent energy usage of around 6000 households.

The planning application was lodged in September 2017 and following the assessment by the Department of Environment, Land Water and Planning, the Minister issued the Planning Permit in March 2018.

Project Location

The Turbine Supply Agreement with Vestas and Balance of Plant Contract with Consolidated Power Projects were executed late 2019 with works commencing on site in April 2020 after the approval by DELWP of the amendments to the Planning Permit to capture the procured turbine model.

The grid connection 22kV line works commenced in May 2021 and are expected to be completed September 2021 to enable commissioning was commencement of full operation shortly thereafter.
